Terms of service

Last updated: 7 November 2026

These terms apply to the Shopify apps published by Override Software Limited, company number 12370614, registered office 64 Broomloan Lane, Sutton, England, SM1 2PW (“we”, “us”). By installing or using an app you (“the merchant”) agree to them. The Shopify Terms of Service also apply to your use of the Shopify platform.

1. The service

Our apps run inside your Shopify admin. AI Alt Text Generator creates descriptions of your product images using artificial intelligence and saves them to your store when you choose to. We may improve or change features over time; we will not remove core functionality of a paid plan during a billing period you have paid for.

2. Plans and billing

3. AI-generated content

Alt text is generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing content before saving it to your store, and for the content you publish. Generated text is yours to use without restriction.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the apps to process unlawful content, to try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, or to resell access to it. We may suspend an account that puts the service or other merchants at risk, and will tell you why.

5. Data

How we handle data is described in our privacy policy. Where we process personal data on your behalf, we do so only to provide the service and under the data processing terms required by Shopify.

6. Availability and support

We aim for the apps to be available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Support is provided by email at contact@overrideconsulting.com; we aim to reply within one business day.

7. Liability

The apps are provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
